›Do I need prior knowledge or training in hairdressing/cosmetics?
No. Prior knowledge can help, but it can also be detrimental, especially if it was acquired through YouTube or TikTok. You also don't need to have completed training as a hairdresser or beautician. We'll meet you where you are—from beginner to advanced.
›How are the classes in the part-time training program conducted?
We teach on two weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This makes the training possible for most working people. If you still have problems with scheduling, please contact us anyway. We can usually find a solution. Here, too, the focus is on approximately 90% practical instruction, supplemented by short theory inputs, demos, 1:1 feedback, and routine training (e.g., timed training).
›How large are the groups?
Each instructor only teaches small groups with a maximum of 6 participants. This allows us to guarantee personal feedback so that each participant can achieve their individual goals.
›How long does the training take?
Depending on the program, the technical training lasts between 3.5 and 10.5 months, plus the Business Start-up Academy. During the consultation, we will discuss the optimal length for your goals (bridal, fashion, TV, etc.) and go through all the course content.
›What content is included?
Depending on the training program, we focus on different areas such as beauty, fashion/editorial, runway, bridal, TV/film shoots, and business strategies (customer acquisition, pricing, offers, invoicing). After our consultation, you will receive a detailed overview of the training program that is right for you, including the curriculum.
›Are there portfolio shoots and opportunities to attend sets and shows?
Yes. You will build up a high-end portfolio with our professional photo shoot team. During and, above all, after their training, participants take part in fashion shows such as Berlin Fashion Week, award ceremonies, events, film shoots, etc. These are arranged through the Inclover Agency. The collaboration with the agency continues for many years after the training.
›Do you provide models, products, and equipment?
The models for the shoots are booked by Germany's leading modeling agencies. Products for the training sessions are provided, but you should bring some products for your own skin to avoid any incompatibilities. You will receive a handmade brush set worth EUR 500 and other basic equipment.
›What degree will I receive?
A certificate from our renowned academy as a certified educational institution plus your portfolio. Skills, your pictures, and references are crucial for bookings—we provide you with everything you need. The certificate is very helpful for permanent positions. Incidentally, the terms “diploma” or “bachelor's degree” may not be used in our field, as they imply university degrees.
›What are the job prospects after completing the training?
We don't guarantee jobs, but based on our experience, over 90% of our graduates work successfully in the industry. You will receive mentoring, references, and a roadmap from your first bookings to financially stable self-employment.
›Will you support me in getting started (agency, clients, prices)?
Yes. At the Start-up Academy, you will learn about positioning, pricing, offers, acquisition, and how to sell your portfolio—with concrete step-by-step instructions.
›Can I work in parallel?
Yes, that's exactly what our part-time training courses are designed for. You can continue with your current main job as normal until you gradually transition into becoming a makeup artist and build yourself a secure livelihood.
›What happens in case of illness/absences?
We offer catch-up/repeat options within the scope of what is possible. Get in touch in good time—we will plan it with you.
›How much does the training cost? Are there installment payment plans/subsidies available?
We discuss prices and payment plans transparently during the consultation. There are optional components and individual solutions, so we will give you the prices as soon as the right training program for you has been determined. We will also review suitable funding/financing options with you.
›How do I apply / when can I start?
